This is my actual HTC Dream / Google G1, I've had it since November 2008 - about a month after the UK release date. It's the first handset since the Nokia 9110i that I just knew I wanted.

Sadly in April 2012 I replaced it with an HTC Sensation XE.

The G1's camera had been damaged, my brother thinks the IR filter - it produces a solarized effect that is affected by natural vs artificial light so probably makes sense. The cover's camera lense is broken and the rollerball would have to be replaced (for a 3rd time)

All of this would still not be the end since there is just no Android phone with a viable hardware keyboard around in the UK now, but I discovered the Hackers Keyboard, which incidentally works better on the Galaxy SII than on the Sensation due to the slightly wider screen.

The solution is not quite as good as a hardware keyboard, but I do have a bigger screen, better camera and much faster dual core + HSDPA experience!
